Skips placed on a public road, pavement or council land require a permit from Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council. Skips placed entirely on private driveways or land do not. We can arrange the permit for you.

General household waste, garden waste, soil, rubble, wood, metal and most renovation waste are all fine. Prohibited items include fridges, TVs, batteries, paint tins, tyres, gas bottles, plasterboard, mattresses and asbestos.
